How It Works
Press Start to begin a 25-minute focus session. When it ends, an alarm plays and a 5-minute short break begins; after every fourth focus session the break is 15 minutes instead. The counter shows how many focus sessions you have completed today in this browser.
Change any length in the settings — including how many sessions come before a long break — and choose whether the next phase should start automatically. Skip ends the current phase early. Like the other timers, the Pomodoro Timer works from real timestamps, so it stays on time when you switch tabs.
For studying, try one session per topic and use the breaks to stand up and look away from the screen.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
A time-management method: focus on one task for 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break, and take a longer break after four focus sessions.
Can I change the session lengths?
Yes. Focus, short break, long break and the number of sessions before a long break can all be changed. Settings are saved in this browser.
Does it keep running in the background?
Yes. It is based on the exact end time of each phase, so it stays accurate when you switch tabs, and an alarm plays when a phase ends.
